How accurate is the reading?
TerraTank measures depth to within ±0.03m (about 3cm) using ultrasonic ranging, with 0.01m resolution. It also reports tank and indoor temperature to ±1°C.
Do I need an app or WiFi?
No. TerraTank works entirely on its own 433MHz wireless link between the sensor and the included display — no WiFi, no app, no subscription.
Can it monitor more than one tank?
Yes — one display supports up to 8 sensors. Add extra TerraTank sensors for additional tanks and switch between them on the console, or let it cycle automatically.
How is it powered?
The sensor is solar-assisted with a battery backup (4× AA, not included) rated for 24 months minimum. The display runs from the included power adapter with AAA battery backup.
Will it work with my tank?
TerraTank suits most poly, steel, concrete and bladder tanks up to 5m deep. It needs a clear, unobstructed path from the sensor straight down to the water.
